About McGooster & McGyman
McGooster and McGyman, two young kittens, move to a new home and begin a new life. They may be brothers, but they do not always agree. McGooster worries a lot and McGyman likes to test the limits. They refer to the resulting conflicts as ‘discussions.’ Together, they experience the adventures of growing up. They learn to value each other’s strengths and to make new friends in the most unlikely places.
While our heroes are kittens growing up to be cats, many of the issues they face are similar to those experienced by children. These issues include dealing with new situations, handling jealousy, respecting different opinions and sharing one’s special talents.
Each chapter is an adventure with a learning point. Whether the tales are read to a child or by a beginning reader, there is opportunity for adult discussion and guidance to a better understanding of the process of growing up.
